vine varieties: Sangiovese, from 80% to 100%. In addition, up to 20% of red grapes belonging to

varieties recommended and authorized in the administrative districts of the production zone of the grapes.

 

wine making: the vinification and the successive storage, bottling and ageing must take place

within the production area.

 

Selling date: 1st of October in the year following the vintage

tasting characteristics:

- sight: lively ruby-red, beautifully intense, evolving to garnet with ageing.

- smell: intense, yet delicate; sometimes with a hint of violets and a tendency to become more complex by ageing.

- taste: dry, supple, well balanced between a full body and a good structure of tannins.

 

serving temperature: 18 - 20°C

 

to serve with: white meat and poultry, noble poultry and grilled meat.

vine varieties: 70-100% Sangiovese; up to 10% of Canaiolo nero; Trebbiano toscano and Malvasia del Chianti up to 10%;

up to 10% of other wine grapes recommended and acknowledged by the administrative department of the production area.

 

wine making: the vinification must take place within the production area, designated by the authorities of the appellation.

 

Selling date: 1st of March in the year following the vintage.

tasting characteristics:

- sight: lively ruby-red, beautifully intense, evolving to garnet with ageing.

- smell: fine, persistent, reminding of wild berries, evolving towards spicy notes with ageing.

- taste: dry, recalling the sensations of the flavour, good structure; sapid, cheerful, supple, a young and well balanced wine.

With time passing it will become softer and velvety.

 

serving temperature: 16 - 18°C

 

to serve with: It is a wine that will accompany the whole meal. It matches well with most dishes

of Italian cooking, from antipasti to cheese, with first courses, main dishes and meat.

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC

 production area: delimited territory in the provinces of Chieti, Aquila, Pescara, Teramo.

 vine varieties: 85-100% Montepuciano d'Abruzzo; up to 15% of other wine grapes recommended and acknowledged by the administrative department of the area of production.

 

wine making: the vinification must take place within the production area, the yield of pressing must not exceed 70% of the total juice available from the grapes.

 

Selling date: the 1st of March one year after harvesting the grapes.

 

chemical analysis: alcohol: 12,5 %vol total acidity: 5,5 - 6,5

 

tasting characteristics:
 - sight: purple red with violet hue.
 - smell: of pleasant intensity, with floral notes and vegetal hints like tobacco and grass cut green.
 - taste: dry, with medium body and extract, slightly tannic and a bit agressive as characteristic peculiarity.

 

serving temperature: 16 - 18°C

 

to serve with: preferably with substantial first-course dishes and stews
